"You had a blue dress on
Next to the podium
Lookin so pretty
Lookin doper than opium"
Am currently listening to one of the SonaOne's track, Firely on Spotify from his new album, Growing Up Sucks . Can't help but to sing it along while quench my brain for ideas to write this post.
We have to admit that us girls / women have the same problem every time we want to get ready ; I HAVE NOTHING TO WEAR. No matter how much clothes you have in your wardrobe, there are always days when you feel like you have nothing to wear. Honestly because you don't want to be wearing the same outfit combination everyday. So, you will end up just staring at your closet, and thought to yourself ; I should get myself new clothes. But what if you are on a low budget, like me ?
If I encounter myself in this type of situation, I will scan again my closet and try to mix and match with whatever pieces I have to re-create something new, something different. I have always love to mix and match my new ones with my old ones. Its one of my ways to save up. Before you want to mix and match your outfit, you need to be able to :
- Re imagine the outfits and not just take them as is.
- When you shop, try to pick something that you can mix it with other kind of outfits. (this also implies when choosing your accessories) Cause if you are like me, for someone who must have something on her, I'll definitely will think twice, "can I wear this bracelets / necklace again with any outfit that I own ?"
I have always have a thing for Sarong Batik. Therefor, I have few Sarong Batik that I own. For me, Batik is something that will never be out of trend and something that you can pair it with any top. It can really save your life (and budget) especially when you have weddings / events to attend. And also, you can recycle that Sarong Batik, for every Raya.
As for my cousin's wedding yesterday, I have pair up my Blue Chiffon Crop Top with my Pink Sarong Batik.
1. Blue Chiffon Crop Top, RM 40 (from RM 50) that I got from the Street Market, the Curve. The stall that I got it from have their own shop at the Curve, called Petit Tresor . But they will have their mini stall open at the Street Market during the weekends.
2. Pink Sarong Batik, which was tailor made years ago and its my life saver. I can pair it with any top.
3. Blue Seed Quilted bag, owned it 2 years ago. I think the price range is around RM60 + but I remember I got it when its on sale.
4. The Bib, got it only at RM 10, at the Street Market at the Curve. It have this bold and eccentric qualities on it. Hence, it will be the center of attention on my outfit. I can also wear this again with any plain top.
5. Loom Clasp Rusty Gold Bracelet, got it few years ago. You can get something like that from Lovisa or even just at the Street Market, the Curve (you can find anything there with affordable price).

Close up look on my accessories.
I have mix and match things with the bracelets. On my right hand, I wore the Loom Clasp Rusty Bracelet while on the left, I wore my all time fave, Beads Bracelet.
